For 2025, cms is proposing to reduce average payment rates under the mpfs by 2.93 percent compared to the average amount reimbursed for these services in cy 2024. The fee schedule applies to all ambulance services, including volunteer, municipal, private, independent, and institutional providers, hospitals, critical access hospitals (except when it is the only ambulance service within 35 miles), and skilled nursing facilities.
